RRSP Deadline Reminder

The deadline to contribute to your RRSP for the 2019 tax year is March 2, 2020.

Each year, there are limits on how much you can contribute to your own RRSPs and your spouse‘s RRSPs. For 2019, your total contribution room is the lower of:

  • 18% of your earned income for the previous year, or
  • The maximum contribution amount for the current tax year: $26,500 for 2019

To determine your personal RRSP contribution limit, refer to the "RRSP Deduction Limit Statement" section in your 2018 Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency.
